GJ6.6 Snap-Fit™ Connector

A Better Connection Starts Here

GJ6.6 Snap-Fit™ Connector
Engineered for LED. Built for Safety. Standardized for the Future.

For decades, linear lighting has relied on a connector system never designed for LED technology. The GJ6.6 Snap-Fit™ Connector changes that by introducing the first standardized, safety-first connection system purpose-built for modern T-LED lamps.

The result?
Safer installations, smarter compatibility, and a future-proof foundation for linear lighting.

Fluorescent Roots. LED Risks.

The Problem with Legacy G13

G13 Technology was not designed for LED, and it shows.

The traditional G13 lamp holder was designed for lightweight fluorescent tubes – not today’s LED retrofits. When paired with T-LED lamps, it introduces serious safety and performance concerns:

  • Not built to support the added weight of LED heat sinks and drivers
  • Exposed electrical contacts when the ballast is bypassed (Type B)
  • No grounding provision in legacy designs
  • Risk of incorrect lamp installation
  • Higher LED voltages can exceed socket ratings
  • Potential for lamp failure or even breakage if mismatched

PURPOSE-BUILT FOR MODERN LINEAR LIGHTING

The Solution: GJ6.6 Snap-Fit™ Technology

Standardized for the Industry
Not Proprietary. Not experimental. Standardized.

The GJ6.6 Snap-Fit™ system is the first and only connector platform specifically engineered for T-LED applications – eliminating the risks of outdated fluorescent-based systems.

Developed in collaboration with leading industry organizations, including ANSI, NEMA, UL, and IEC, the GJ6.6 system is now recognized as the official standard for LED lamp connectors in North America.

  • Covers Type B (ballast bypass) and Type C (external driver) systems
  • Includes grounded, non-grounded, and low-voltage configurations
  • Designed for global adoption through IEC alignment
  • Available for licensing to support widespread industry use

One System for Multiple Applications

GJ6.6t Grounded Three-Pin System

The “t” represents the third pin, which provides a grounded lamp end cap and holder system. The GJ6.6t is the first standardized linear lamp holder that provides a mechanical and/or isolated grounding system for T-LED lamps. Legacy G13 fluorescent lamp end caps and holders do not offer grounding, creating a potentially unsafe and non-code-compliant system.

  • 2 power pins and a dedicated ground pin
  • First standardized connector with integrated grounding
  • Ideal for Type B ballast bypass applications
  • Supports voltage levels up to 350V

GJ6.6d-1 Double Insulated Two-Pin System

The GJ6.6d-1 is a two-pin end cap and holder design for T-LED lamps with a “double insulated” internal driver, often used for lower watt and lumen output products.

  • Designed for lamps with internally double-insulated drivers
  • Common in lower wattage / lower lumen applications
  • Eliminates the need for external grounding

GJ6.6d-2 Low Voltage Two-Pin System

The GJ6.6d-2 provides a two-pin option for low-voltage Type C lamps powered from an external driver. It has a different pin arrangement to allow for specific keying standardization for low-voltage products, removing all risk of installing the wrong LED lamp into the incorrect voltage.

  • Designed for Type C systems with external drivers
  • Unique pin configuration prevents cross-voltage installation
  • Ensures safe, application-specific compatibility

GJ6.6 Non-Powered End

The GJ6.6 end cap and holder provide a mechanical hold for the non-powered end of the lamp, allowing for unmistakable and safe installation.

  • Provides secure mechanical support for the lamp
  • Ensures proper alignment and installation
  • Eliminates ambiguity during installation
